Senior Product Manager / Product Strategy Lead

Location: Nashville

Reports to: Head of Product

About Craft Education:

Craft Education is transforming how on-the-job learning converts into academic credits through our flagship product, Craft Connect. Our experiential learning and collaboration platform handles the complex regulatory data necessary to enable apprenticeship degrees. We’re a fast-growing company looking for Senior Product Managers and Product Strategy Leads to help us scale our product in both education and beyond, including apprenticeship degree programs in verticals like healthcare and technology. If you’re an experienced product manager who thrives in both strategic and tactical spaces, we want to hear from you.

About the Role:

We are seeking Senior Product Managers/Product Strategy Leads who are comfortable working autonomously in ambiguous situations, but who also thrive in close collaboration with the Head of Product. You will be expected to gather insights, generate and refine ideas, and present well-thought-out recommendations, while always maintaining a strong partnership with the leadership team to align on major product decisions.

You’ll take ownership of key aspects of the product lifecycle—from customer research and ideation to execution and delivery—while working closely with the Head of Product to shape the medium- and long-term vision for Craft Connect. Your ability to work independently on feature development and strategy, while collaborating to make critical decisions, will be key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision & Execution: Work closely with the Head of Product to develop product roadmaps and strategies, contributing to both short- and long-term goals. Take ownership of specific product initiatives, driving them forward independently while ensuring alignment on broader strategic directions. There may also be opportunities to lead the development of new products within our suite, depending on business needs and the candidate’s experience.
  • End-to-End Product Development: Lead the product lifecycle for assigned features and initiatives, from ideation to market delivery. Present fully fleshed-out ideas, pros and cons, and recommendations for consideration, while ensuring collaborative decision-making for all major product directions.
  • Customer Research & Feedback: Conduct in-depth customer research, synthesize insights, and develop actionable product improvements. You’ll be responsible for bringing forward ideas and solutions, not just identifying problems.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineering, data, and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of product features. Your ability to understand technical responses and assess proposed solutions is key.
  • Partnership & Stakeholder Management (for one of the roles): Manage both internal and external stakeholders, filtering client feedback and negotiating product direction. Ensure the integration of client needs with Craft’s broader strategy as we expand apprenticeship degree programs into new verticals.
  • Agile Leadership: Lead sprints and collaborate in an agile environment, using product management tools in a lean but effective way. You’ll manage rapid iteration cycles while remaining in close collaboration with leadership to maintain strategic alignment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Educational Technology, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
  • 5-7 years of product management experience, with a proven track record of leading products from concept to market, managing cross-functional teams, and driving product strategy.
  • Confident & Collaborative: You should be able to run with ambiguous projects, generate solutions, and make recommendations. At the same time, you must be comfortable collaborating closely with the Head of Product and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on major decisions.
  • Customer Research Expertise: Strong skills in conducting user research and turning insights into actionable product decisions. You’ll be expected to bring forward well-developed ideas, not just problems.
  • Technical Fluency: Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams. You don’t need to make technical decisions on your own, but you must be able to ask insightful questions, understand technical answers, and assess the feasibility of proposed solutions from a product perspective.
  • Agile Experience: Experience leading product sprints in an agile environment, using tools like JIRA, Asana, or similar. You should be able to manage rapid iteration cycles while balancing collaboration and independence.

  • Exceptional candidates will have:
  • Master’s degree (MBA, MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Educational Technology).
  • Extensive experience in data-driven product development, SaaS platforms, or educational technology.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: While not required, experience using data to drive product decisions is a plus. Familiarity with tooling that supports product analytics is helpful but not necessary.

Why Join Craft Education?

At Craft, we’re revolutionizing apprenticeship degrees, blending on-the-job learning with academic coursework to create rigorous and innovative educational pathways. As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the future of education and workforce development. We are looking for individuals who are confident, collaborative, and ready to contribute to the next phase of our product growth while working closely with leadership to shape our future.
