The Opportunity

SANY America is looking to recruit a driven, forward-thinking and highly motivate Region Direct Sales General Manager (Pennsauken, NJ. With the deep investment and backing of SANY Group, the Americas business expects to grow significantly in the coming years. Critical to this growth is the appointment of a Region Direct Sales General Manager who is responsible for driving sales within a defined region and overseeing the overall operations of a SANY store specializing in heavy equipment.

As a Region Direct Sales General Manager, you are empowered to operate your sales territory like your own business, while also contributing to the brand and region's overall growth strategy. This position will lead and manage a team of 4-8 employees comprised of sales representatives.

This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Business Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve region sales targets and to increase revenue within assigned “white space” (territory).
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, customer segments, and markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to stay ahead in the market.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings to review performance, set objectives, and motivate the sales team.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns and events.


Customer Relationship Management:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and support.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Develop and implement customer service policies and procedures to enhance customer experience.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to ensure their needs are met and to foster long-term relationships.


Team Management:

  • Manage, guide and coach, a team of direct sales professionals utilizing data and metrics and proven sales methods and models.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Establish performance goals and KPIs for team members and conduct regular performance feedback sessions.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and availability for customer interactions.


Marketing and Promotion:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote SANY products and services.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to generate leads and boost sales.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and strategies.


Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budget, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency improvements.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate:

  • Preference will be given to local candidates who understand and are familiar with the assigned region
  • Prefer candidate who possess leadership experience in a sales environment that values and focuses on metrics to achieve results
  • Proven experience in direct sales, preferably in the heavy equipment or construction industry.
  • Proven track record of utilizing a defined sales process to coach, guide, and manage a sales team
  • Excellent ability to motivate, communicate direction and provide guidance to obtain results
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and manage budgets; analyze and read sales data to make decisions / recommendations for individuals and groups
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to negotiate.
  • Operates with high integrity, ethics, and professional code of conduct at all times.
