Our large, diversified distribution company client is seeking an experienced Sales Operations Analyst for a temporary opening at their Glenview site Typically, the team is onsite Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.


The Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for creating and analyzing customized reports to meet specific organizational goals. In this role they will own the development, automation, and maintenance of reporting while providing recommendation on how key insights can be used to positively impact clients. They will partner across the business to turn stakeholder needs into data driven solutions. The Sales Operations Analyst will be spending a good amount of time reporting which includes, pulling data from various systems as well as receiving manual reporting and consolidating information to a standard format.


Responsibilities include:

  • Design, build, and generate scheduled reports to monitor KPIs for all levels of the sales organization.
  • Drive improvements and standardization in reporting, forecasting, predictive modeling, scorecards and dashboards to support leadership decision making.
  • Maintain and improve data hygiene, partnering closely with the Data Analytics and Data Management teams.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert within the Commercial sales team regarding the functioning of various internal systems, data storage, and cross-system reporting.
  • Partner with the Finance, Master Data Management, and CRM teams to determine best reporting tools, assist with builds, and validate accuracy.


Ideal Candidates will have:

  • 3+ years leading enterprise-level reporting, analytics and/or strategy in a highly complex sales/sales operations environment, with experience in identifying issues, trends, or exceptions to drive margin enhancement.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiencies and highly skilled in various CRM tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Salesforce specifically preferred).
  • Prior experience in pipeline and sales performance reporting (highly preferred).
  • Excellent presentation skills and effective communication skills across all levels of leadership.
  • Experience working with a high volume transactional sales organization is preferred.
