Job Description

We currently produce over a billion nutritional health solutions for consumers, patients and their healthcare providers. We also distribute industry-leading Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements brands (VMS) in both the healthcare practitioner and consumer channels and Pharma Products, making NHSc uniquely positioned to cater to the most pressing health concerns of today.


As the MRM Recipe Specialist you will support new recipe development for the Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements brands. Beyond I&R projects, you will anticipate product requirements evolution and optimize implementation throughout ingredient and recipe portfolio in order to maintain product supply and improve reactivity. Assist local MRM teams for Compliance by Design and Compliance by Manufacture process and establish Best Practices and Guidance & Develop product formulation expertise.


Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities could include entering new recipes or ingredients into SAP system and recipe management system, supporting new product development, doing a lot of compliance and verification

experience with material recipe management and product development or formulation in either factory or R&D environment

Coordinate recipe development from product concept to launch stage whilst ensuring compliance to safety, regulatory, internal policies & quality requirement

Introduce new ingredient and recipes in existing recipe formulation tools’

Lead cross functional teams in developing compliant formulations with safety, legal, and nutritional requirements and establishing ingredient nutritional composition and compliant purchasing specifications with safety & legal requirements

Drive compliance improvements & new requirements implementation within portfolio

Implement and ensure adherence to recipe approval workflows for ingredients and recipes across the entire organization (AG, R&D, RA, SC, etc.)

Single authority approving all recipes within a product category

Assess impact & manage changes across portfolio

Establish appropriate formulation using Statistical Design and/or historical data

Establish recipe management instructions & requirements for recipe management tools

Train users on Recipe Management tools and share best practices for recipe design


Education & Qualifications

Master Degree in Food Sciences, Technology, or Quality Degree Preferred

At least 3-5 years of operational experience food industry; production, QA or successful experience in product formulation and project management

Organizational and communication skills

Ability to constructively challenge and to find solutions

Disciplined, rigorous, strong analytical mindset & pragmatic

Project management skills is a strong plus

Track record in transferring knowledge and training others

Fluent in English, one additional European language would be a plus (French, Spanish or German)
