About the Role: Edge Staffing is excited to partner with this Cambridge, MA-based software company, in their search for a collaborative, creative, and customer-focused Android Developer to join their team.


In this role you will be responsible for transforming complex problems into business solutions and ensuring the development of maintainable, scalable, and reliable software products.


Responsibilities:

  • Translate business specifications into technical implementations
  • Implement maintainable, scalable, and reliable software solutions
  • Participate in code and design reviews
  • Assist in hiring and training junior developers
  • Adhere to development standards and processes
  • Provide on-call support and troubleshoot production issues

Experience Required: 3-7 years of Android Development experience on connected devices, IoT, routing/mapping, and performance analytics (not mobile gaming apps)


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Android development
  • Proficiency in developing native Android applications with Kotlin
  • Experience as a Full Stack developer
  • Knowledge of Restful APIs, backend development (Python), and AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.)
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies (SCRUM)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Customer-focused with a proactive and analytical mindset
