About: A dynamic Houston-based Small-Medium Commercial General Contractor specializing in Tenant Improvement (TI) and Build Out projects within the commercial office, healthcare, and retail sectors is looking for a Superintendent to join their growing team. With a focus on delivering excellence and precision in every project, they take pride in the commitment to high-end finishes and unparalleled craftsmanship. The projects are all Houston-based and typically range from $200k to $4M, encompassing a diverse portfolio of challenging and rewarding endeavors.


Role Overview: Seeking a seasoned Superintendent to join the Houston-based team, bringing at least 5 years of experience in overseeing similar commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for excellence, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to delivering projects on time and within budget. With a focus on safety and quality, the Superintendent will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our Houston-based projects, meeting and exceeding client expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of on-site construction activities in Houston, including scheduling, coordination, and supervision of subcontractors and trades.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards, maintaining a commitment to high-end finishes and craftsmanship.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures, in accordance with OSHA regulations (OSHA30 certification required).
  • Collaborate closely with project management teams to monitor progress, resolve issues, and mitigate risks in Houston-based projects.
  • Maintain effective communication with Houston-based clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members in Houston, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, with a focus on TI and Build Out projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering Houston-based projects ranging from $200k to $4M within the commercial office, healthcare, and retail sectors.
  • OSHA30 certification is required.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Houston-based environment.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred, but not required.
