What’s the position?

The VP - Risk will play a pivotal role in overseeing and operationally managing Hard Rock Digital’s anti-money laundering (AML), know your customer (KYC), due diligence, payments, and fraud prevention initiatives and policy within the Customer Operations Division.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies, ensuring the integrity and security of our operations, balancing customer friction and revenue while adhering to regulatory requirements.


What are we looking for?


Payment Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for payment processing to enhance user experience and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to continually improve payment processes and customer expectations.

Payment Processing Optimization:

  • Streamline payment processes to minimize transaction costs, reduce payment failures, and increase transaction success rates.
  • Analyze payment data and user behaviour to identify opportunities for optimization and revenue growth.

Fraud Prevention and Risk Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain fraud detection and prevention systems to safeguard the company against fraudulent activities.
  • Monitor transactional data and patterns to detect and mitigate potential fraud risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to stay ahead of evolving fraud tactics and technologies.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to payment processing and fraud prevention.
  • Implement effective risk management practices to mitigate regulatory risks and maintain operational compliance.

KYC and Due Diligence Oversight:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant state regulations related to customer verification while creating a seamless customer journey that maximises automated identity validation.
  • Implement policy, process and technology to ensure customer operations is effective and efficient, balancing risk and meeting customer expectations.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a multi discipline team of Directors and Management professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to foster their growth and development.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the payments and fraud management team.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments such as product management, customer support, and finance to align Risk strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Work closely with technology and operational development teams to drive strategic change, operational improvement, customer experience enhancements and enhance revenue.


This role presents a unique opportunity to lead due diligence, KYC, and AML initiatives in a dynamic and highly regulated environment, driving the organization's efforts to mitigate financial crime risks and ensure regulatory compliance. If you're a strategic thinker with a passion for risk management, we invite you to join our team and make a meaningful impact on our business. 2 – 4 years Senior Management experience in Online Gaming a distinct advantage; proven experience at Director / VP a must.
