OVERVIEW
The Social Media Manager is responsible for strategically planning, developing, executing campaigns across social media platforms and managing SM coordinators to maintain extremely organized pre-planned Content Calendar on Planoly. The SM Manager will collaborate alongside the Content Team Lead and Graphic Design Team Lead to successfully launch and execute a social media campaign. SM Manager will proactively devise social strategy with a comprehensive plan detailing the goals, objectives, and deliverables.
Strong copywriting skills are required for the SM Manager to oversee communicating all messaging and captions in alignment with the brand voice to maintain and develop identity.
You will collaborate closely and work alongside other team members in the Marketing Department to achieve the overall goals of enhancing brand visibility, driving engagement through creative campaigns on social platforms (including Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, LinkedIn, etc.) with a strong brand voice by ensuring all captions and copy posted on any digital platform are in alignment with the approved Brand Glossary of language and messaging.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Social media: The ability to use social media to maintain or build a brand is necessary to be a Social Media Manager. These professionals are expected to regularly post text, video and images that engage the company’s target market, follow online conversations on a company’s social media accounts and solve customer concerns using social media platforms.
- Communication: Great verbal and written communication skills are essential for this occupation. A Social Media Manager must interact with writers, designers, developers and customers and report to senior management personnel. As good communicators, these professionals must identify social media events such as an interesting hashtag or a sensitive topic and share appropriate content that aligns with the company’s social media strategy.
- Creativity: Crafting engaging content is an important skill for a Social Media Manager. These professionals must constantly align content with customer trends and market changes to interest and engage people.
- Technology: Computer skills, skills in using social media platforms and skills in using tools that analyze social media platforms are requirements for this position. A Social Media Manager must use digital technologies to meet the goals of social media campaigns.
- Research: Skills in learning social media trends, identifying new social media tools and finding real-time online conversations are necessary for this position. Social Media Managers must have an understanding of the trends and techniques of social media as well as the company’s online presence to effectively handle social media marketing.
- Time management: The skill of organizing tasks to meet deadlines is essential for this professional role. Social Media Managers work according to schedules and must meet marketing and business goals.
- Current Trends: Stay updated with current trends and industry insights to optimize content strategy.
- Weekly Report on Key Metrics - track and analyze campaigns - identify categories and types of content styles directly related to growth on each respective platform
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ Experience managing social media accounts with a proven track record of growth in terms of overall brand presence, engagement, following, etc. META Instagram, FB, TikTok (required)
- 2+ years managing a team of SM Coordinators to execute daily content, engagement, and community management.
- Experience with Pinterest (preferred) and YouTube (preferred).
- Strong copywriting skills and strategic campaign management expertise.
- Proven track record in platform management.
- Exceptional organizational skills for content planning and engagement growth.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (inclusive of Lightroom), Planoly, Asana
