Continuous Improvement Specialist

Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated team player with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance product quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires a deep understanding of quality control practices and methodologies. We believe that quality is key to our success and are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to help us maintain and enhance our standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Testing: Design, implement, and manage quality testing processes to ensure products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in existing processes and recommend solutions that increase efficiency and reduce defects and decrease scrap
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to track the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance, manufacturing, and operation teams to implement changes and ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis to identify the source of defects and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality testing processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Training: Provide training and support to team members on quality testing procedures and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all quality testing processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, including CRSI and DOT
- Customer Feedback: Engage with customers to gather feedback on product quality and use it to drive continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from conception to implementation.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in engineering Quality Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality testing, or continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with project management is a plus.
- Demonstrate intermediate level Microsoft office suite skills
- Ability to navigate and learn different technology platforms, used in the daily operations of the manufacturing plant.
