The Tooling Application Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and recommending tools best matched to the application and machining parameters
  • Troubleshoot performance and tool life problems and make recommendations regarding corrective actions
  • Analyze customer's performance based on tool use and suggest new tool designs to determine possible improvements
  • Identify cost savings
  • Manufacturer Management
  • Vendor tasking and status updates
  • Top Efficient/Inefficient Tools by Department
  • Tool Life Improvements
  • Quality Improvements
  • Support Productivity Improvements
  • Work with manufacturers on Tooling improvements and problem resolution
  • Support all Tooling, Process and Manufacturing Engineers
  • Attend Plant production Tooling meetings


REQUIREMENTS

o Bachelor or Associate degree in Engineering/Technology

o Two+ years or more related industry experience

o Expertise in machining/cutting tool applications

o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications required (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)

o Strong written and verbal communication skills

o Excellent interpersonal skill
