Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Project Biologist - Permit Manager. The location is remote with most permitting projects located in the eastern 1/2 of the US. The Project Biologist - Permit Manager will be responsible for managing permits and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The day-to-day tasks include communicating with clients, assessing impacts to protected wetland, stream, and endangered species resources, preparing reports, and coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills.


Qualifications


  • PhD or Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field
  • Wetland Delineation experience and training
  • Stream hydrologic determination certification or training
  • Experience working with commercial developers and state agencies
  • Research and data analysis skills
  • ARC GIS Proficiency
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Experience in permit management and regulatory compliance is a plus
  • 5 to 15 years experience
  • Salary commensurate with experience
