Vallum is working with one of our large engineering clients that is looking to hire for their South Jersey office. Working within their Solar Engineering team they have delivered 6.5 GW worth of solar and energy management services across 50 states in the last 20 years.


They are looking for a PV Engineer with experience working on C&I or Community Solar projects that is interested to join a dynamic team of fellow engineers and work on some of the most interesting and innovative projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Able complete the following engineering tasks with minimal guidance:
  • Design drafting of electrical construction documents using AutoCAD
  • Electrical distribution design and single line preparation
  • Solar photovoltaic design
  • Voltage calculations and conductor / raceway sizing
  • Detailed PV Syst calculations
  • Utility coordination
  • Code review
  • Preparation of specifications


Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in electrical engineering of photovoltaic systems
  • BS in Engineering (preferably Electrical) is preferred but not required as the expectations is that the candidate can use electrical engineering principles to complete the work.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality construction documents working in a production and design role, achieving satisfaction from Senior staff.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills and knowledge of software
  • Computer proficiency, strong in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as production related software (ETAP, PV Syst) and equipment
