Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled, and hands -on, Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementation from beginning to end - ensuring that projects are completed on time. With strong attention to detail, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in product design, building and testing prototypes, certification testing and creation of manuals. Other key responsibilities are detailed below. Candidates with a strong mechanical, or electrical background would be ideal.


Primary job duties include:

  • Design new products in accordance with product proposals under the direction of the Chief Engineer.
  • Redesign and modify existing products as directed by the Product Planning Committee. This includes hands - on work in Engineering lab to confirm findings
  • Create drawings of new products and edit existing drawings using Solid Works.
  • Create/modify supporting documentations of products such as installation manual, labels, brochures, various instructions, etc.
  • Ensure electrical wiring and controls meet safety requirements.
  • Facilitate the construction and testing of prototypes.
  • Ensure that all Engineering tests are documented and recorded in accordance with the Engineering lab manual.
  • Ensure that all products comply with applicable construction, design and safety standards. Prepare agency submittal information of all new equipment and alternate construction to existing products.


Education and Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering. If your experience includes electrical or gas product design and certification - this is a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude is essential. This role is hands on and your ability to build and test prototypes are key
  • Proficient understanding of low voltage electricity up to 600 volts.
  • Proficient understanding of safety measures and PPE for up to 600 volts.
  • Strong, and proven ability to multi - task
