Key Responsibilities:

Project Management Support:

  • Administrative Assistance: Provide administrative support to the project management team, including preparing reports, tracking project progress, and managing project documentation.
  • Scheduling: Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits as needed to monitor progress, verify work, and address any issues that arise.
  • Communication: Assist in communicating with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate project activities and address any concerns.

Estimating Support:

  • Cost Estimation: Help gather and analyze cost data for materials, labor, and equipment to support the estimation process.
  • Bid Preparation: Assist in preparing bid proposals, including quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns.
  • Bid Analysis: Support the review and analysis of bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all cost estimates, bid documents, and correspondence.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Record Keeping: Organize and maintain project files, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
  • Reporting: Assist in preparing progress reports and project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Coordination and Support:

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other team members to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Problem Solving: Support the resolution of any issues or conflicts that arise during project execution or estimation.

Compliance and Quality Control:

  • Standards Adherence: Assist in ensuring that all project activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Quality Assurance: Support quality control efforts by reviewing work and ensuring it meets project requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Prior experience or internships in construction management or estimating is a plus, but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes; familiarity with construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) is advantageous.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic knowledge of estimating software.
