Syam S. Mannava, P.E., S.E. founded Structures America Innovative Engineering, PLC (SAI) in 2006 and purchased the assets of Pendergraf Engineering, PLC which had been in business since 1977.

Prior to 2006, Syam Mannava was a partner in Pendergraf Engineering for 5 years. We have a very stable client base and the Structural Engineer is a permanent position with the firm.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred 2 - 3 years of Commercial Building experience
  • Preferred 2 - 3 years of relevant experience after graduation
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Structural Engineering
  • Preferred: Licensed Professional Engineer:
  • Must have passed Fundamentals of Engineering and or be ready to take the exam.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analysis and design of structures for schools, banks, institutions, offices, warehouses, medical offices, hospitals, large residences, etc.
  • Familiarity with steel, concrete, wood, masonry, light gauge steel, tilt-up concrete, ICF, etc. including metal building foundations.
  • Perform seismic and wind analysis of structures using building codes such as IBC, ASCE-7, ACI-318, ACI-530, AISC, AISI, NDS, etc.
  • Furnish structural inspection reports based on visual inspections of buildings.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Review shop drawings, and provide clarifications to RFIs, Addendums, etc. to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Proficiency in using Finite Element based software such as RAM, Digital Canal, and TEDDS, and familiarity with AutoCAD including BIM software such as REVIT.
