Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science required; a B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or Physics may also be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing, with preferred expertise in Mexican food formulation and manufacturing.
  • Strong skills in food technology.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Self-directed and motivated.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all R&D projects within the facility.
  • Lead the commercialization of new or revamped products.
  • Manage the transfer of products from other locations.
  • Review and refine product ingredients, formulations, and processes; propose new products or improvements.
  • Maintain regular communication with corporate R&D, Marketing, and QA teams.
  • Analyze products to ensure manufacturing processes meet specifications.
  • Conduct lab evaluations of new and improved products compared to competitors.
  • Assist in product costing and process capability definition.
  • Compile, review, and approve product specifications and labeling.
  • Explore new product ideas, packaging concepts, and technologies.
  • Collaborate on long-term projects with other departments, such as reducing yield loss and optimizing process phases.
  • Partner with operations and QA to identify and implement improvements in products and processes.
