We seek to fill a Data Architect role for the FBI, Federal Bureau of Investigation in Huntsville, AL.


One of our newest clients is looking for a Data Architect with 6 years of experience in Big Data technologies like Apache Hadoop, Spark, or Hive, as well as expertise in databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or AWS Redshift. Additionally, experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is required.


A current Top Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain an SCI eligibility is required.

Executive Summary: HRUCKUS is seeking a Data Architect for a role at FBI Headquarters in Huntsville, AL.


  • The candidate must have an ACTIVE TOP SECRET clearance and the ability to obtain an SCI eligibility is required.
  • The role is 100% Onsite.


Job Description:

  • Designs and develops solutions to complex data sets.
  • Leads the development of enterprise data architectures, strategies, and solution recommendations in support of business strategies.
  • Leads design of high-level conceptual and logical models that facilitate a cross-system/cross-functional view of data requirements.
  • Establishes processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of corporate metadata and takes steps to assure metadata accuracy, validity, and quality.
  • Provides leadership to system and local work groups.
  • Designs and builds relational and non-relational databases.
  • Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
  • Reviews object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in database management and data architecture
  • Proficient in SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS Redshift
  • Experienced with data modeling tools such as Erwin Data Modeler, IBM InfoSphere, and PowerDesigner
  • Strong knowledge of ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, and Apache NiFi
  • Familiar with big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Hive, and Spark
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud (for cloud migration projects)


Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in related field or in lieu of degree 4 additional years of Experience


Additional Benefits Information:

  • Salary range is $115,000 to $135,000 per year.
  • Standard benefits include 3 weeks of Paid time off (PTO that includes sick leave). Any unused PTO will be issued as a check at the end of an employee's anniversary. Also provided: 2 floating and 8 public holidays. Floating and holidays expire at the end of every year of service of an employee.
  • In addition, company will cover 50% of health and dental insurances only for all full-time employees, however, dependents can be added at extra cost.
  • Employee's health and dental coverage becomes effective after 30 days or first of the month after an employee completes initial 30 working days, the client covers 50% for the employee's health and dental insurances.
  • An employee must finish all of the paperwork for health and dental in the first 30 days of your employment. We provide STD, LTD, and one-time salary equivalent of life insurance at NO cost to all full-time employees.
  • All full-time employees or w-2 employees with no benefits will be eligible to participate in company's 401k program after 90 days of employment with a company match of 4%, immediate vesting. In addition, all w-2 employees are eligible to be part of company's profit sharing, no employee contributions required.
  • No Parking and Commuting expenses are reimbursed.
