Bookkeeper/Operations & Logistics Specialist

We are looking for a multifaceted and proactive Bookkeeper/Operations & Logistics Specialist to join our small Finance and Operations Department full time. The candidate should be passionate for fashion and accounting, a go-getter who will thrive in a small team where one wears “many hats” and has various responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, such as posting invoices and bills, and follow-up related to A/R
- Assist with tasks related to month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings, such as customer account reconciliation.
- Data entry/reporting in all integrated systems, ie. QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel
- Perform a variety of duties and accounting support tasks as required and assigned by Finance Manager.
- Review Wholesale POs against factory/production shipping documents to ensure accuracy and address discrepancies as needed.
- Cross check POs, confirm OCs for wholesale clients
- Enter style information for new collections and key new Wholesale POs into Quickbooks.
- Generate shipping labels and other ship/export paperwork as needed-for store cross-docks.
- Assist with EDI - Non EDI shipments and documentations.
- Monitor and manage non- factor account receivables and coordinate with team on collection effort.
• Act as principal contact for matters of billing and shipping.
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure timely and accurate communications with clients, third-party vendors and off-site offices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, administrative work.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop, JOOR, Shopify
- Demonstrated experience working independently as well as in a team environment
- Retail / Wholesale Industry experience
- A positive attitude, you are kind, curious, self-aware and have passion for the fashion industry
