We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join our team. The AutoCAD Drafter will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans for various projects using AutoCAD software. This position requires strong attention to detail, precision, and the ability to translate conceptual designs into accurate technical drawings.


Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize AutoCAD software to create detailed drawings, plans, and diagrams based on project specifications and requirements.
  2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project objectives and translate design concepts into technical drawings.
  3. Review and analyze technical documents, sketches, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness in drawings.
  4. Incorporate revisions and modifications to existing drawings as directed by project stakeholders.
  5. Maintain organized files and documentation of all drawings, ensuring version control and proper archiving.
  6. Coordinate with other team members to ensure consistency and coherence in drawings across different disciplines.
  7. Adhere to company standards and procedures for drafting, including layering conventions, dimensioning styles, and title blocks.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices related to drafting and AutoCAD usage.
  9. Assist in resolving technical issues and providing solutions during the drafting process.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and address concerns related to drawings.


Qualifications:

  1. Proficiency in AutoCAD software, with demonstrated experience in creating technical drawings and plans.
  2. Associate degree or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or related field preferred.
  3. Strong understanding of drafting principles, techniques, and standards.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in drawings.
  5. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.
  6. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
  7. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and terminology is desirable.
  8. Familiarity with other CAD software or related software applications is a plus.
  9. Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  10. Willingness to learn and stay updated on new software features and industry developments.
