Primary Purpose:
Be able to create accurate construction documents from conceptual sketches.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
1. Create construction documents that typically include:
· Foundation plan
· Framing plans
· Floor plans
· Elevations
· Sections and details
· Schedules
· Electrical plans
· Site and grading plans
2. Have a thorough understanding of wood framed construction and residential construction.
3. Have a thorough understanding of the residential building code.
4. Be dependable and able to manage time effectively while working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.
5. Be able to make red-line corrections after QC checking.
6. Possess accurate note taking skills and follow though from client and co-worker meetings.
7. Possess positive professional work ethic in a non-smoking office environment.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 5 years experience in an industry related position.
Proficient with the following software: AutoCAD, Sketch-up (not required, but beneficial), Photoshop (not required, but beneficial) and Microsoft Word.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
Complete daily task using the resources provided by the company.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Residential Draftsman will answer to the VP of Design.
Agree to and follow all standards noted in the Employee Handbook.
Salary to be determined by candidate qualifications and experience. Candidate needs to provide expected salary range in cover letter.
