Energy company located in LIC, Queens is seeking a Purchasing Administrator/AP Specialist to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the company's purchasing procedures and assisting the VP of Finance with accounts payable. Some of the main duties include ; Monitoring the company's inventory of supplies and process purchase orders, analyzing purchase requests, negotiating prices and contracts with vendors, reviewing and entering incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies, preparing and distributing physical checks, answering inquiries from and liaise between Finance, Accounting, budget owners, and vendors, evaluating and refining procurement and AP processes and more We are seeking candidates who are highly organized, have a strong sense of detail, some previous experience with AP and Purchasing are a huge plus but the client will train. We are seeking candidates with a college degree and 2+ years of professional experience and strong analytical skills and the ability to pick up new systems. Strong Excel is required and experience with Maximo would be a huge plus. Salary is DOE, excellent benefits and growth are offered This role will be onsite 4 days a week in Long Island City, NY.
