Job description
Position: Manufacturing Process Engineer
This company is a design and production company specializing in fluid transfer. We have partnered with major automakers for the past 30 years. Confronted by a constantly evolving market, we study and design new-generation products, conforming to the growing demand in terms of environmental, qualitative, and economic requirements in our sectors.
The Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for determining operations to produce products and developing processes to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met. This position troubleshoots problems with production and takes corrective action.
Qualification & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 1-3 years of Manufacturing experience required, automotive experience preferred
- Familiarity with the tools, machines and equipment used in the workplace
- Attention to detail
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy skills and comfort with various types of technology used in the industry
- Ability to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people
Job Description
- Support new product releases at production launch time
- SPC, capability studies, variation reduction, and equipment improvements
- Understanding and supporting APQP, PPAP, and DFMEA/PFMEA
- Develop and initiate multiple cost reduction projects.
- Serve as a technical resource for identifying and correcting manufacturing variability
- Basic Project Management experience
- Plans, executes, and documents all major changes in processes
- Accurately updates documentation to reflect current operational procedures
- Implement changes necessary for process improvement and cost reduction
- Assists with the development of the product design and functionality.
- Implements the product design within the schedule and budget parameters.
- Identifies any problems with the implementation or available resources that may affect the schedule or budget and communicates such problems accordingly.
- Analyzes the risks of a new design or process and communicates results.
- Provides support to manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated and assembled based on the intended functionality of the design.
- Develops and maintains procedures and processes that support core machine technologies.
- Interfaces with others in the organization and customers to jointly determine customer needs and solutions.
