Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Software Development to lead our talented in-house and offshore development teams. This role requires a strategic leader who is well-versed in DevOps practices and possesses a deep understanding of various coding frameworks and languages to effectively guide and mentor our software developers and data analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage both in-house and offshore software development teams.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of physician-facing mobile and web applications.
- Implement and promote DevOps practices to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with organizational goals.
- Ensure high-quality code through code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Drive innovation and stay updated with industry trends to keep our technology stack current and effective.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members in coding frameworks and languages, including Python, C#, Swift, Angular, and JavaScript.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the development teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Work with developers and data scientists to leverage large language models (LLMs) and build AI models for healthcare use cases.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in leading software development teams, including managing offshore resources.
- Strong expertise in DevOps practices and tools.
- Proficiency in multiple coding frameworks and languages, including Python, C#, Swift, Angular, and JavaScript.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in value-based care or ACOs, is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge and experience in AI, including working with developers and data scientists to leverage LLMs and build AI models.
- Knowledge of SQL Server and Azure is a requirement.
- Experience with database management through SQL Server.
- Experience with producing data-driven reports using healthcare data.
- Knowledge in Salesforce management/development is a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
