The project on the development of DOCSIS Meter technology within the RDK platform focuses on enhancing broadband performance and diagnostics. DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) Meter technology aims to provide precise measurement and monitoring of network parameters, ensuring optimal data transmission and connectivity. Integrating this technology into the RDK (Reference Design Kit) platform allows service providers to standardize and streamline their broadband services across various devices and networks. This innovation supports improved customer experiences and more efficient network management.


Key Responsibilities:

Development of DOCSIS Meter:

Work on the development and refinement of the DOCSIS Meter technology within the RDK platform.

Vendor Management: Manage and update internal releases in collaboration with vendors like Broadcom and Sercomm, ensuring successful integration into the RDK codebase.

Testing and Validation:

Develop and conduct unit tests to validate software releases.

Support integration testing to ensure that all components work seamlessly together.

Deployment and Version Control: Manage versioning and deployment of changes within the RDK platform, ensuring smooth and error-free updates.

Agile Collaboration: Attend regular development meetings, sync-ups with the manager, and actively contribute to Agile processes to drive the project forward.

Complete code handoffs to the Comcast team, ensuring all documentation, testing, and deployment steps are thoroughly completed.


Top Skills Required:

Proficiency in C Programming:

Strong experience with C programming, particularly in the context of RDK development.

Experience with RDK Platform:

Hands-on experience with the RDK (Reference Design Kit) platform, with a focus on DOCSIS technologies.
