Joyson Safety Systems is looking for a detail-oriented Treasury Manager to analyze the treasury related activities for Corporate Staff. In this role, you will be required to prepare treasury related “actuals” reports and forecasts including cash flow, interest expense and interest payments and process actual payments.


The position will support Corporate Treasury Director and Chief Financial Officer at Corporate Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.


To be successful, you should demonstrate attention-to-detail, a learning competence, accountable attitude, and a desire to implement strategies that ensure accuracy and the organization's financial stability.


Responsibilities:


Treasury Related Forecasts

  • Prepare Corporate 13-week (J-Schedule) Direct Cash Flow Forecast (Weekly) – To be transitioned to Treasury Analyst
  • Consolidate Regional 13-week (J-Schedule) Direct Cash Flow Forecast (Monthly)
  • Prepare Global IC Loan Interest expense forecast (requires about 1 week to complete) (Quarterly)
  • Prepare Global Financing Cash Flow Forecast Interest Expense Forecast and share with Region Treasury and Financial Analysis and Planning Managers (Monthly)


Reporting

  • Prepare Corporate 3rd Pary debt Interest accrual file for accounting. (Monthly)
  • Prepare 3rd Party debt amortization schedule and distribute to the Regions and Accounting. (Monthly)
  • Prepare 3rd party loan Interest actual + forecast file for accounting. (Monthly)
  • Summarize and validate global short-term and long-term debt splits. (Monthly)
  • Prepare M8 Report –Summary of Loan Balances, Interest and Principal Payments. (Monthly)
  • Prepare Global Debt Roll Forward Report for Treasury and Accounting teams. (Monthly)
  • Prepare M11 report (Foreign monetary items - occurred due to Third Parties activities. (Monthly)
  • Prepare Interest Paid report for Accounting (Monthly)
  • Prepare Footnotes 19, 55, 56, 57 (requires about 1 week to complete) (Quarterly)


Intercompany Lending

  • Creation of Corporate IC Loan agreements and extensions
  • Obtain DOA approvals for Corporate IC Loan agreements, collect signatures and file (Ad Hoc)
  • Support regions with everything IC Loan related – Review loan agreements, provide interest rates, Tax IDs, addresses, correct signors, interest accrual calculations (Ad Hoc)
  • Prepare Corporate IC Loan interest expense and LT/ST balances for accounting to book (Monthly)
  • Review OOB report, address IC Loan variances, book an additional/correction JEs, direct regions Treasury on how to fix issues (Monthly)
  • Prepare IC Loan Interest expense Forecast (requires about 1 week to complete) (Quarterly)
  • Prepare IC Loan Interest expense Budget (requires about 1 week to complete) (Annual)
  • Maintain regional, accounting and treasury IC Loan files.


Credit Card – To be transition to Treasury Analyst

  • Credit card administration and support - new users, rejected transactions, etc. (Ad Hoc)
  • Provide Credit Cards expense report for Accounting (Monthly)


Banking:

  • Maintaining Daily Cash Database (Daily) -- to be transitioned to Corporate Treasury Analyst
  • Manage banking relationships with Deutsche Bank (Ad Hoc)
  • Coordinate collection of Deutsche Bank KYC (Know Your Customers) requests (Ad Hoc)
  • Initiate or approve payments to suppliers, banks or other Joyson Regions (Weekly)
  • Review and understand DB Banking fees and charges for appropriates and opportunities (Monthly)
  • Process (deposit) paper checks (Ad Hoc)


Other

  • Provide support to Auditors with treasury related questions.
  • Maintain and Update Treasury Policies
  • Develop Treasury process flows.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Prepare Desk Procedures for various tasks performed.


Direct Reports:

One Treasury Analyst located in Monterrey Mexico Service Center


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a similar field.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Finance, Accounting, or Treasury role
  • Strong computer skills are a must especially MS Excel
  • Familiarity with online bank systems a plus
  • Familiarity with Corporate debt concepts (interest, principal, loan types)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills - does not get lost in the details.
  • Flexibility – able to deal with multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter that demonstrates organizational skills and ability to formulate plans and actions.
  • A sense of urgency when it comes to execution.
  • Ability to make improvements to reduce workload and create robust models/forecasts.
