Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Carmel, IN. This is a 5-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization
Job Details:
Job Name: Medical Assistant
Location : Carmel, IN 46032
Duration : 5 months Contract/ Likely to convert to FT based on performance
Shift : Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm
Payrate : $20- $22/hr. / *Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment & instruments.
- Room patients, obtain health history and check vital signs.
- Document patient care using electronic medical record software.
- Administer medications and perform injections/immunizations.
- Assist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testing.
- Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals and answer patient calls as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Medical Assistant diploma, technical certificate or certification OR 1+ years of experience performing the critical skills of a medical assistant after on-the-job training OR Current enrollment in an accredited medical assistant training program OR Active EMT certification accredited.
- High School Diploma/ GED.
