This will be accomplished both through organic initiatives, and acquisition of businesses in similar verticals.


The CEO has over a decade of experience in investing (Serent Capital) and operating roles (General Management at A-B InBev), with a specific focus on scaling high-growth businesses and transformation.


About the Role:

The role of the Senior Software Engineer will be pivotal to the long-term growth and success of the business. Primary responsibilities will involve supporting and expanding the current suite of software products in partnership with existing team members, and leading integration efforts of acquired businesses and LMS content / applications. The candidate will be a hands-on member of the engineering team working directly with Arthur, with the highest level of exposure to strategic problem solving and client relationships.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years hands-on experience developing Java-based applications - Company's frontend is on the Quasar framework (based in VueJS), and backend is NodeJS
  • 5+ years of software development experience around Windows and Web API technology
  • Relational Database experience involving T-SQL, Table design and support
  • Architectural Design experience
  • Integration Experience
  • Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies, principles and tools
  • Exposure working with industry standard build / deployment tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with customers to identify needs, and translate them into potential new tools
  • Ability to take logical and functional system requirements and translate them into code
  • Ability to work in a team and independently when needed
  • Ability to lead a project and other team members from initiation to completion
  • Live near Company Headquarters in Northern Florida, or commute for a minimum of 60% of workdays (e.g., three days per week)


Preferred Qualifications (nice to have):

  • Background in Education Technology and with LMSs
  • Experience with cloud services technology (ex. Azure)
  • Familiarity with reporting tools (ex. Power BI, Tableau, Crystal Reports)
  • Interest in Education and Safety welcomed
