Position Overview:
The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in analyzing and interpreting business information and financial data to drive strategic decision-making. This individual will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analyses, developing financial models, and providing insights that support the company's financial goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, strategic thinking capabilities, and ability for influence - with passion for making a positive impact.
This individual will have strong communication skills and ability to structure and communicate complex information and financial concepts to executive and other senior management and to non-financial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed financial and scenario analyses and provide insights and evaluate financial impact to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and business plans.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights and support business initiatives and projects.
- Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and market trends to anticipate potential opportunities and challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic recommendations and action plans based on market insights and business objectives.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of our initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement financial performance dashboards and reporting tools.
- Lead initiatives to enhance data quality and reporting accuracy.
- Communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA strongly preferred (complete or in progress).
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data from multiple sources.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated track record of developing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences at all levels.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, business analysis, and strategic planning tools including Power BI and/or Microsoft Autopilot preferred.
- Knowledge of the packaging industry or B2B is preferred.
- Must be fully fluent (spoken and written) in both Spanish and English (Portuguese a plus).
