We are a lively and dynamic architecture office located five blocks from the beach in beautiful downtown Santa Barbara, California. Our current focus is on high-end residential projects in Santa Barbara, Montecito, Malibu, and Beverly Hills, with an eye toward future development, hospitality, and commercial projects throughout the United States.

About the Position
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and/or qualities:
- Ability to follow all legal and performance criteria including relevant codes, material tolerances and clearly documents all due diligence
- Rigorously pursue clarity, consistency, and accuracy in documentation of Clear Arc drawing standards
- Redlines every team member’s work and reviews when complete
- Understands and employs the functional criteria of the specific building type and material technologies being proposed.
- Monitors material technologies for ways to improve performance and/or save money
- Works with project architect and project manager to develop alternative construction material or detail options for client review and pricing
- Innovates within an achievable and acceptable range
- Handles conflict (client, team, consultants, design) in a proactive and productive way
- Is flexible and creative in revising design solutions when faced with conflicting agendas
- Inspires other team members to add design value and increase their skill set
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualities:
· Minimum 10-15 years experience in residential design; commercial design
· Licensed professional in the state of California
· Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from accredited school
· Excellent leadership and communication skills
· Detail-oriented and highly analytical
Computer Skills
· Digital file management and standards
· Revit - Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a requirement
· AutoCAD
· Microsoft Office 365
· Microsoft Project
· Bluebeam Revu – use of Bluebeam Studio Sessions for redlining process

Typical Working Conditions
The typical working conditions for this role involve standard office hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility based on business needs. You will be stationed at a desk in a well-equipped office space, utilizing modern technology and software to perform administrative tasks.
The role requires you to engage in regular communication with team members, clients, and external partners via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Expect a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, where you'll be handling various responsibilities simultaneously. The need for confidentiality is paramount, given the nature of managing sensitive information related to company operations and personnel.
