The Data Quality Analyst will be managing and improving data quality across enterprise applications. The position requires expertise in SQL, including data profiling and transformation, to identify and resolve data anomalies. The role demands flexibility to adapt to evolving project scopes and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Length: 1 year contract (possibility of extension or conversion)

Role & Responsibilities

  • Data Profiling: Analyzing data to understand its structure, quality, and relationships within the organization's systems.
  • Identifying Anomalies: Detecting and addressing discrepancies, inconsistencies, or errors in data entries or processes.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigating the source of data issues and determining the underlying causes.
  • Data Cleansing: Cleaning and standardizing data to eliminate redundancies and improve consistency.
  • Collaboration: Working with data stewards, business analysts, and subject matter experts to resolve data quality issues and improve processes.
  • Documentation: Documenting data quality issues, processes, and improvements for reference and audit purposes.
  • Quality Assurance: Developing and implementing quality assurance processes and metrics to monitor and improve data quality continuously.
  • Reporting: Generating reports and dashboards on data quality metrics and trends to inform decision-making and support organizational goals.
  • Compliance: Ensuring data quality complies with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Data Governance: Contributing to data governance initiatives by adhering to data quality standards and best practices.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with SQL – reading and writing/developing in multiple SQL languages (Spark included)
  • Experience utilizing Data Management principles including data profiling, data cleansing, and data transformation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate and work with the business including subject matter experts at various levels within the organization.
  • Excellent Time Management ability including managing to project timelines and schedules and ability to prioritize work efforts.
  • Must be a self starter
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with individual work responsibilities and communicate with team members and provide status on work efforts.
  • Data Analyst, Data Engineer experience


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Collibra Data Quality & Observability and Collibra Data Catalog/DIP.
  • SQL experience (ability to read and develop)
  • Experience in an agile environment with daily standups, kanban/storyboard approach to work efforts.
  • Information Governance/Data Management experience – mid-level experience.
