Our exciting Space client in the Los Angeles area is looking for a Satellite Power and Controls Engineer to Lead the Design and Build of a Satellite.


The design will involve processing Satellite Bus Power and Developing it to run a Brushless Motor, monitor various Telemetry channels, control various valves, as well as interfacing with the Satellite Systems for maintaining Control.


Responsibilities:


  • Design and Test Power processing Electronics to drive a brushless Electric Motor.
  • Design Electronic Digital interface for monitoring various Telemetry signals.
  • Design Digital interface for communicating with the Satellite Bus.
  • Interact with our collaborators, partners, and customers to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Assemble and test experimental hardware.
  • Deliver project-based milestones in a fast-paced environment.


Ideal Experience:


  • Experience with any CAD Software as well as SPICE
  • Experience designing Spacecraft Power and Controls hardware
  • Solid understanding of Power, Controls, and Digital Electrical Engineering and Design
  • Experience designing relevant Analog and Digital Electrical circuits.
  • Strong background in a hands-on laboratory environment.


Additional Desired Skills:


  • Programming experience with Python (or similar programming languages).
  • Background in FPGA, Arduino, etc…
