Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Estimating
  • Correspondence and negotiations with client
  • Subcontract and purchase order preparation and approval
  • M/W/DBE selection, auditing, and compliance
  • Scheduling oversight
  • Invoice approval
  • Site staff personnel management
  • Control estimate preparation
  • Job cost reviews
  • Change order and claim preparation
  • Monitoring of compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Monitoring of project for compliance with applicable laws
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Competencies

  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a project manager.
  • A degree in either Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Strong oral presentation skills and writing abilities.
  • Proficient in the planning, organization and monitoring of activities and projects.
  • Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.
  • Able to work well and persuade people at all organization levels
  • Have working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 Scheduling Software, HeavyBid, HeavyJob, AutoCAD, and/or Procore is a plus.
