Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in heavy civil construction. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for managing construction projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with safety teams to establish and execute safety programs
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, including cost monitoring, cost and revenue projections, and change order logs
  • Collaborate with project superintendents to identify equipment needs, personnel skill sets, and schedule requirements
  • Manage and update receiving and yield reports, cost accounting, and schedule impacts
  • Submit quarterly cost-to-complete projections and maintain change order logs
  • Coordinate equipment acquisitions and track subcontractor committed costs
  • Review and procure necessary permits and licenses, and review subcontractor scope and schedules
  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFI's, meeting minutes, and work plans
  • Ensure project closeout, including final documentation, invoicing, and retainage release
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • At least 5 years of industry experience, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working on heavy civil, DOT projects; ability to read and understand contracts
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and time reporting systems, with functional knowledge of job cost accounting
