Job Opportunity: EHS Compliance Specialist (Part-Time)

Location: Onsite


Hours: 1 day a week, with flexibility for 2 morning shifts


Compensation: $50/hr


Job Overview:


We are seeking an experienced EHS Compliance Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is perfect for someone retired or looking for a flexible work arrangement. The position involves ensuring that our site adheres to all safety regulations and compliance requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


Support and guide site management to ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, plant policies, and corporate procedures.

Oversee and verify the accuracy and timeliness of all EHS reporting.

Maintain and update safety systems, policies, and procedures for the site.

Conduct inspections of facilities, machinery, and practices to identify and address potential safety hazards.

Investigate accidents and develop recommendations to prevent future incidents.

Represent the company in interactions with government agencies regarding safety, health, and environmental matters.

Develop and implement health and safety procedures for the organization.

Prepare and schedule training sessions on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other essential topics.

Compile and submit required reports to corporate and regulatory bodies.

Assist with managing EHS compliance for contractors.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:


Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related scientific field.

5-10 years of hands-on EHS experience, preferably with chemical handling.

Minimum Requirements:


Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Experience in delivering training materials through various media.

CSP or CIH certification is ideal; OSHA 30-hour certification is acceptable.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
