We seek an Associate Attorney to join our growing national law practice in Lawrence, Kansas. Job responsibilities include preparing claims and appeals, communicating with clients and V.A. personnel, collaborating as a team with respect to case strategy, traveling and attending legal conferences twice a year, and occasional client meetings out of state.
The candidate must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar. The ideal applicant should work well in a team, have strong writing and communication skills, possess problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented, be compassionate, and have a high standard of ethics. Experience in disability law or administrative law is not required but is welcomed. Conversational Spanish is not required, but it would be an asset. With prior VA disability law experience, there is an opportunity for the postion to be remote.
