About the Team:

Our Platform team operates like a startup, with the mission to create a state-of-the-art embedded finance platform. We provide developers with access to a comprehensive suite of financial capabilities using low- and no-code tools. We work in a fast-paced, innovative environment, prioritizing user experience and high standards for product development.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Designer to lead the development of cutting-edge banking experiences for millions of users. This role involves designing embedded banking products from the ground up and modernizing legacy SaaS banking platforms using the latest technologies. You will also play a key role in building and expanding our unified design system, which is the foundation of our platform. Additionally, you will work closely with two product experts to extract details from legacy systems and help transform them into a modern platform with the same core functionality. Your contribution will be essential in fostering a strong design culture and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products to market.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage customer insights to define end-to-end product experiences and features.
  • Design seamless user experiences for developer, mobile, and SaaS products.
  • Lead design sprints and planning processes to craft exceptional user experiences.
  • Collaborate with engineering throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to launch.
  • Develop and maintain scalable design systems for a wide range of financial software products.
  • Work with two product experts to extract and analyze functionality from legacy systems, ensuring modern platforms retain key features.
  • Promote a design-focused culture by establishing and implementing design-driven processes.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a product designer at a consumer or enterprise technology company.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, user experience, and usability best practices.
  • Proven ability to work closely with product and engineering teams to ship and iterate customer-facing products.
  • Solid knowledge of UX research methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with modern developer platforms and ecosystems.
  • Ability to turn research insights into compelling product designs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage multiple projects.

  • Systems engineering and enterprise-level experience: A solid understanding of designing for large, complex systems is a significant advantage.
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems: Expertise in diagnosing and upgrading legacy banking platforms while retaining core functionality will be crucial.
  • Collaboration with product experts: Hands-on experience working with product experts to extract insights from legacy systems and integrate them into modern platforms.
