Key Responsibilities

Training and Compliance

  • Develop and conduct health and safety training programs in alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate safety policies and practices.
  • Train employees on key safety programs, including:
  • Hearing Conservation.
  • Hazard Communication.
  • Respiratory Protection.
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Procedures.
  • Emergency Response and Evacuation Plans.

Regulatory Compliance and Monitoring

  • Conduct facility-wide safety assessments and report findings.
  • Track and report workplace injury and illness statistics monthly.
  • Oversee industrial hygiene monitoring to meet OSHA standards.
  • Assist with hazardous material management and emergency preparedness.

Leadership and Culture Development

  • Promote safety as a core team value.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce workplace injuries through auditing, accountability, and training.
  • Communicate and reinforce corporate safety standards and safe work practices.
  • Maintain focus on 10 Key Safe Leadership Behaviors.

Continuous Improvement

  • Align safety initiatives with overall business priorities.
  • Propose actionable recommendations to enhance workplace safety and compliance.
  • Foster a sustainable and ethical work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Science (B.S.).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience coordinating health and safety activities.
  • Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Familiarity with Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Titles 29, 40, and 49.
