We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer with expertise in mechanical construction specifically for data centers. The ideal candidate will lead projects from inception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for mechanical systems in data centers.
  • Coordinate with design teams, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to assess project progress and address challenges.

Quality Control:

  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing regular project updates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, specifically in mechanical construction for data centers.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and piping in a data center environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
