The company are seeking a skilled HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial settings. The HVAC Engineer should have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, be proficient in troubleshooting, Revit design and diagnosing issues, and possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.


Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including heating, cooling, and ventilation units.
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Inspect HVAC systems and their components (e.g., compressors, motors, ducts) to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Test HVAC systems for proper functioning and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Respond to service calls from clients to troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs.
  • Provide recommendations to clients regarding HVAC system upgrades, improvements, or replacements.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete installations and projects within established timelines.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, new HVAC technologies, and regulations to enhance skills and knowledge.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVAC vocational training or apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, with at least [X] years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid HVAC technician license and EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of HVAC systems, including their components and functions.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC systems and performing repairs accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications or training in specific HVAC systems or technologies.
  • Prior experience working with both residential and commercial HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with computerized HVAC control systems and diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC practices and equipment.


Working Conditions:

The HVAC Technician will primarily work indoors, both at client locations and in workshop settings. The role may require working in varying environmental conditions, such as extreme temperatures or tight spaces. The position may also involve occasional travel to different job sites within the designated area. Additionally, the HVAC Technician may be required to work evenings, weekends, or overtime hours to accommodate client needs or project deadlines.
