Responsibilities
Works to improve care delivery, outcomes, and patient throughput, and to ensure patient safety in area(s) of responsibility through quality assurance and performance improvement activities. Works with leadership team to improve care delivery, outcomes, and patient throughput, and to ensure patient safety across the organization.
Timely reporting and investigation of incidents or adverse events. Responsible for assisting, managing, directing, supervising staff in area of responsibility. Is a resources to staff. Responsible for recruiting, training, and retaining staff as well as for staff development. Ensures staff meet education and competency requirements. Annual performance evaluations done timely. Implements and promotes the use of technology as an effective tool to improve operations and communications. Develops or participates in development of policies and procedures that will guide care delivery and ensure culture of patient and family centered care. Reviews policies per required review process and as needed to keep them accurate and current. Adheres to and enforces policy and procedures. Monitors for high quality and compassionate care through chart review, professional discussions, and patient rounding. Addresses areas of improvement immediately and recognizes high performing team members. Ensures adequate coverage for service 24/7 to meet expected staffing metrics and achieve the standard of care expected.
Qualifications
Must have 3-5 years experience OR leadership; Director level.
CNOR preferred; required within 1 year.
