This person will be in charge of planning, directing, and controlling all activities of the service department to ensure the overall growth and profitability benchmarks are met. Our ideal candidate will be capable of formulating the major objectives, policies, procedures and programs for the service departments and will maintain the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving the customer and identifying their needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities; Taking appropriate action as necessary.
  • Establishing short and long term operating and financial objectives and aligning the department to meet these goals.
  • Maintaining repair order closer rate of under 15.
  • Maintaining records and reporting on all phases of service activities.
  • Coordinating efforts with outside parts and service sales personnel to achieve full market penetration.
  • Managing department to achieve goals set forth by management.
  • Purchasing tools and equipment required to maximize the efficiency of the service department.
  • Ensuring safety rules and TAG Trans policies are followed at all times.
  • Soliciting new customers and maintaining policies and practices that will ensure positive customer relations with existing and new customers.
  • Remaining familiar with activities of competition, market conditions, and departmental operations.
  • Ensuring safety, security and appearance of the building and vehicle maintenance.
  • Responsible for all service personnel.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in a similar role.

Salary plus Commission and Profit Sharing.
