About the Role:
 Oscar Energy is working with a California based client in the search for a dedicated and experienced Senior Project Developer to lead the development of large-scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This is a unique opportunity for a driven professional to join a leading organization at the forefront of renewable energy, contributing to projects that are transforming the energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of utility-scale solar and BESS projects from conception through to construction.
  • Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including site acquisition, permitting, interconnection, design, and financial analysis.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, due diligence, and risk assessments to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including landowners, local authorities, engineers, and contractors.
  • Navigate local and federal regulatory frameworks to ensure compliance with permitting and zoning requirements.
  • Oversee and coordinate project teams, ensuring alignment with client goals and timelines.
  • Develop project budgets, forecasts, and manage financial models to optimize project performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and technological advancements to drive innovation and best practices.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in project development within the solar and/or renewable energy industry, with a focus on utility-scale projects.
  • Proven track record in the successful development of solar and/or BESS projects.
  • Strong understanding of permitting, land use, interconnection, and utility processes.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience with financial modeling and project budgeting.
