Life Science People is partnering with a client of ours seeking a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist (Board Certified) to play an integral role at their location in Fountain Valley, CA.


This role will involve both clinical and operational duties including drug verification and distribution, patient consultation, physician collaboration, drug and therapy monitoring, utilization management, and supervision. It will involve collaboration with hematologists/oncologists to provide individualized treatments. You will also review chemo- and immunotherapy orders, drug utilization management, evaluation and interpretation of drug related laboratories etc.


Requirements

  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) or
  • BCOP eligible (Completed PGY2 Oncology Residency and eligible for BCOP - must pass the BPS Oncology Pharmacy Certification examination within 90 days of hire) or
  • Completed PGY1 Pharmacy Residency + two (2) years of Clinical Oncology Pharmacy experience (must pass the BPS Oncology Pharmacy Certification examination within 90 days of hire); or
  • No residency, but at least four (4) years of Clinical Oncology Pharmacy experience (must pass the BPS Oncology Pharmacy Certification examination within 90 days of hire)
  • Pharm.D. Graduate from an accredited pharmacy school with a Pharm.D. Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Currently holds or eligible to obtain California Advanced Practice Pharmacist (APh) licensure within 90 days of hire.
