We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Associate to join the Portfolio Services team within the Fixed Income Investment business of a top sovereign wealth fund. You'll be responsible for providing comprehensive portfolio analysis, generating insightful dashboards and reports, assessing portfolio risks, and delivering detailed performance analytics to support investment decision-making.


This role is ideal for candidates with 3-6 years of experience in fixed income, investment analysis, or portfolio services, who have strong analytical skills and a passion for financial markets.


Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Analysis & Reporting:

  • Conduct detailed analysis on fixed income portfolios, including asset allocation, risk exposure, and performance attribution.
  • Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly portfolio reports, summarizing key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track portfolio performance metrics and provide actionable insights to portfolio managers and senior leadership.

Risk Assessment:

  • Perform risk assessments on fixed income portfolios, identifying areas of concern or opportunity across duration, credit risk, and interest rate risk.
  • Work closely with the risk management team to monitor portfolio risk exposures and ensure compliance with internal risk guidelines.

Performance Analytics:

  • Provide in-depth portfolio performance analytics, focusing on return drivers, benchmarking, and peer comparisons.
  • Conduct performance attribution analysis to determine the impact of investment decisions on portfolio returns.

Data Management & Insights:

  • Collaborate with data teams to access, validate, and interpret market and portfolio data from various systems.
  • Maintain and improve data accuracy and integrity across reports and dashboards.

Collaboration & Support:

  • Work closely with portfolio managers, risk teams, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide relevant data and insights.
  • Assist in ad hoc analysis and projects as required to support the fixed income investment team.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3-6 years of experience in fixed income, portfolio services, investment analysis, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including the use of advanced formulas and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for creating dashboards and visualizing data.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management systems and risk management tools is a plus (e.g., Bloomberg, Aladdin, FactSet).
  • Strong ability to analyze large data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Understanding of fixed income products, market trends, and investment strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • CFA designation is preferred but not required.
