Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with other departments to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications using C# and .NET technologies.
  • Ensure adherence to software development best practices and company standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and optimize the development workflow.
  • Present project updates, technical solutions, and strategies to stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Work closely with product management to prioritize and scope projects in alignment with business goals.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in software development, especially related to the utility industry.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and provide solutions to complex technical issues when needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 6+ years of experience in C# and .NET development.
  • 3+ years of experience managing software development teams.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in the utility sector or with utility software solutions is a plus, but not required.


Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server or NoSQL solutions.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application in software development.
