Client Overview: Leading manufacturer and importer of quality apparel, collaborating with celebrated retailers in the USA


Position Overview: We are looking for a Technical Designer with expertise and understanding of fit, grading, technical construction and pattern and ability to spec both knit and woven garments.


Associate Technical Designer Responsibilities:

  • Lead fit sessions using live model/body form to assess fit, proportion, and overall styling of garments
  • Provide recommendations, note callouts, and log critiques to address all issues efficiently during Fit sessions, Add/update Be-product Accordingly
  • · Ensure size and fit consistency within and across product categories
  • Partner with Production and overseas offices to support quality and on-time delivery of products
  • Manage fit and construction approval process with cross functional partners to meet all deadlines and raise issues to appropriate level for resolution in a timely manner
  • Communicate and provide clear direction to overseas offices and factories on submits and approval status
  • Special projects as assigned


Associate Technical Designer Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in Excel & Adobe Illustrator
  • Strong sense of urgency and successful track record in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and time management
  • Verbal and written communication skills are crucial with the ability to communicate easily with overseas vendors.
  • Associates degree in Patternmaking or Fashion related degree
  • **Preferred 3-5 years equivalent experience.
