Position Summary

As a Senior Manager in the Logistics Department, you will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic direction and operational execution of logistics initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Logistics, you will oversee all aspects of logistics operations, including transportation management, inventory control, and supply chain optimization. With a focus on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and customer satisfaction, you will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure alignment with departmental goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with transportation carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure reliable and cost-effective service.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams, to align logistics activities with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to assess logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee inventory management activities, including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and cycle counting.
  • Manage transportation budgets, analyze freight costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing logistics operations.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.


Skills and Qualifications Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in logistics management, with demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and operational excellence in logistics operations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable logistics strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with logistics software systems and tools (e.g., WMS, TMS) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and international trade compliance requirements.
  • Ability to adapt to change, work under pressure, and effectively prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
