Description

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to contribute to the development of our cutting-edge AI SaaS product. We're a company based out of New York City's Flatiron District, building cool technologies. Working at Hatz AI will have you learning new technologies and give you the ability to experiment with new and popular AI frameworks before running an implementation. We're looking for someone who has strong foundational engineering skills.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement various backend functions for our AI SaaS product
  • Work with Python to create efficient and scalable backend code
  • Utilize PostgreSQL for database management and real-time functionality
  • Implement and manage AWS services, focusing on CDK and Lambda
  • Collaborate with our Engineering team to integrate AI Technologies (RAG / LLM / GPUs)
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions

Requirements:

  • 2+ Minimum Professional Software Engineering Experience
  • Proven experience in full-stack development using a workload programming language (Go, Python, Java, etc)
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and its features
  • Proficiency in AWS services, particularly CDK and Lambda
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Good to Haves / Not Required:

  • Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) implementations
  • Knowledge of LLM (Large Language Model) integrations
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts
  • Previous work on SaaS products
  • Experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript features
