Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of large-scale heavy civil construction projects.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of project execution, including budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Ensure compliance with FDOT regulations and standards, maintaining quality and safety throughout project phases.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with subcontractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Track project progress, prepare and submit regular reports, and make data-driven decisions to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Solve complex project challenges, resolve disputes, and ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing large-scale civil construction projects, specifically with prime contractors.
- Proven experience on FDOT projects, with a deep understanding of FDOT standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
