Job Description:

Taylor English Duma LLP is seeking a talented and motivated Litigation Associate to join our thriving practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation, with a potential focus on trade secrets and restrictive covenants, as well as contract disputes and business torts. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-stakes commercial disputes in state and federal courts and in arbitration. This role provides the opportunity to represent clients that include public companies to small businesses across a diverse range of industries.


Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on litigation issues

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents

• Assist with discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests

• Coordinate large-scale electronic discovery, including forensic collections of data, as well as review and production of electronically stored information (“ESI”)

• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trial proceedings

• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice

• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams throughout the litigation process


Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree

• Exceptional academic credentials from a top-tier law school

• Admission to at least one state bar

• 2-5 years of experience practicing litigation, preferably in a law firm setting

• Strong legal research and analytical skills

• Superb writing skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated commitment to client service and professionalism
